The Lost Signal
Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains what data The Lost Signal uses, why it uses it, and what stays on your device.
1. Who operates the app
The Lost Signal is operated by Lazy Yards. If you have questions about this policy, contact contact@lazyyards.com.
2. What the app uses
- Purchase data: Apple processes in-app purchases for the full campaign unlock through StoreKit.
- Microphone access: Some fragments use live audio input for breath, silence, or signal-based interactions.
- Speech recognition: One fragment asks you to say a word aloud. The app is designed so that recognition runs on-device and nothing is stored by the app.
- Motion data: Some fragments use movement or step-related input to drive puzzle behavior.
- Local progress data: Completion state, settings, unlock state, and similar gameplay progress are stored locally on your device.
- Optional feedback email: If you choose to send feedback, the app opens an email draft addressed to
contact@lazyyards.com.
3. What the app does not do
- The app does not require account creation.
- The app does not sell your personal information.
- The app does not use third-party advertising SDKs.
- Microphone input and spoken words are not stored by the app after the interaction is complete.
4. How data is used
The app uses data only to make core features work, including:
- unlocking paid content after purchase,
- driving microphone, speech, and motion-based puzzle mechanics,
- saving your settings and puzzle progress, and
- letting you contact support if you choose to send feedback.
5. Where data is stored
Gameplay progress and settings are primarily stored on your device. Purchases are managed by Apple through your Apple ID. If you send feedback by email, that message is handled by your mail provider and email service in the normal way.
6. Permissions
The app may request permission to access:
- Microphone: for silence rituals, breath puzzles, and related audio interactions.
- Speech recognition: for the fragment that requires speaking a word aloud.
- Motion: for step counting or movement-sensitive fragments.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app, although some fragments may no longer function as intended.
7. Children’s privacy
The Lost Signal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the app’s features, data flows, or legal obligations change. The most current version should always be published at the URL where this page is hosted.
