Privacy Policy

1. Summary

HerbalMagick is a reference and practice tool for herbs, rituals, journaling, cabinet tracking, moon-phase guidance, and related personal notes. The app stores the information you create in order to provide its features. When iCloud is available and enabled on your device, the app may sync your data through your Apple ID using Apple's services.

HerbalMagick does not currently use third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs inside the app.

2. Information We Collect

Information you create inside the app

The app may store information that you intentionally add or generate while using it, including:

• Journal entries, reflections, daily check-ins, and practice notes
• Custom rituals, ritual drafts, ritual notes, and selected herbs
• Favorites, wishlist items, gathered herbs, and recent herb activity in your cabinet
• Imported or exported backup data that you choose to create

Support communications

If you contact us through the app or by email, we may receive the information you choose to send, such as your message content, email address, and any attachments you include.

Automatically handled platform data

Apple may provide device, account, crash, diagnostic, or iCloud-related platform services as part of iOS, App Store Connect, or iCloud. Those services are governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policies.

3. How We Use Information

We use stored information only to provide and support the app's functionality, including to:

• Save your journal, cabinet, custom rituals, drafts, and notes
• Show practice history, favorites, suggestions, and cabinet-based ritual matches
• Sync your app data across your Apple devices when iCloud is available
• Let you export and import your data backups
• Respond to your support or feedback messages
• Maintain, debug, and improve the app

4. Local Storage on Your Device

HerbalMagick stores app data locally on your device so the app can work even when you are offline. This may include journal entries, ritual drafts, ritual notes, favorites, wishlist items, gathered herbs, and similar app state.

Local data remains on your device unless you delete it from within the app, remove the app, restore a backup over it, or replace it through sync behavior.

5. iCloud Sync

When iCloud is available on your device and Apple ID, HerbalMagick may sync your journal, cabinet, custom rituals, notes, and drafts through Apple's iCloud services.

• The app uses your Apple account environment to make syncing possible.
• We do not separately create a username and password for this syncing feature.
• iCloud availability depends on your device settings, Apple ID status, network access, and Apple's services.
• Data synced through iCloud is also subject to Apple's privacy practices.

If iCloud is unavailable, the app may keep working locally and store your information only on your device until sync becomes available again.

6. Backups, Imports, and Exports

HerbalMagick allows you to export your app data into a backup file and import it later. These backup files may contain personal app content such as journal entries, ritual drafts, notes, favorites, wishlist items, and cabinet data.

When you export a backup, the file is stored in the location you choose through Apple's file and sharing tools. You are responsible for how you store, share, transfer, or protect exported backup files after export.

7. Email and Support

If you send feedback or contact support from the app, your message is sent using Apple's Mail services or your configured email provider, depending on how you choose to send it. We only receive the information you decide to include in your message.

8. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

HerbalMagick does not currently include third-party advertising SDKs. HerbalMagick also does not currently include third-party analytics SDKs for cross-app tracking or advertising measurement.

If this changes in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or at the time those features are introduced.

9. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only in limited circumstances, such as:

• With Apple, when required to provide iCloud sync, app distribution, crash reporting, or platform services
• With service providers only if reasonably necessary to run, maintain, or support the app
• When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or the security of the app

10. Data Retention

We keep support emails or direct correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.

App-created content stored locally or in iCloud remains available until you delete it, overwrite it, remove the app, or remove it from the relevant Apple services according to Apple's ecosystem behavior.

11. Your Choices

• You can delete journal entries, notes, drafts, and other app content from within the app.
• You can remove the app from your device to remove locally stored app data from that device.
• You can manage iCloud availability through your Apple device and account settings.
• You can choose whether to export backup files and where to store them.
• You can choose whether to contact support and what information to include in your messages.

12. Children's Privacy

HerbalMagick is not directed to children under the age at which personal data processing requires parental consent in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal information through direct support contact, please contact us and we will review the request.

13. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information within the app and our support workflows. However, no method of electronic storage, transmission, sync, email, or internet-based delivery is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. International Use

If you use HerbalMagick outside the country where Lazy Yards operates, your information may be processed in the countries where Apple or email providers operate their services, subject to their infrastructure and policies.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page. Your continued use of the app after an updated policy becomes effective means you accept the revised policy to the extent permitted by law.
