Privacy Policy

Overview

Tarot & Runes: Wiccan Handbook is built around one principle: your practice belongs to you. The app does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not share anything with third parties.

This policy explains what data the app works with, where it stays, and what Apple's systems handle on our behalf.

Data stored on your device

The following information is created by you and stored only on your device:

• Tarot readings, spread draws, and saved card interpretations
• Rune readings, draws, and notes
• Journal entries and Book of Shadows content
• Custom spells and rituals you write
• Ritual planner entries and schedules
• Favourite spells and preferences
• App settings, notification preferences, and widget data

None of this information is transmitted to us or any server. It never leaves your device unless you choose to export it yourself.

Optional iCloud sync (Pro subscribers)

Pro subscribers can optionally enable iCloud sync. When enabled, your custom spells, rituals, and journal content are synced via your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework.

This data is encrypted by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data at any time. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app's Settings.

Subscriptions and purchases

Witchcraft Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or see your payment information.

Apple provides us with the following anonymised signals to verify your subscription status:

• Whether a valid active entitlement exists for your Apple Account
• The product ID of the active subscription or purchase
• Subscription renewal and expiration status

No name, email address, or payment details are shared with us as part of this process. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Analytics and tracking

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. There are no trackers, no ad networks, no crash reporting services, and no behaviour analytics tools in this app.

Apple may collect aggregated, anonymised App Store analytics (such as download counts and crash logs) in accordance with their own policies if you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with Apple on your device. We receive only summary-level data and cannot identify individual users from it.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app schedules moon phase alerts and daily altar reminders locally on your device. These are generated by iOS and do not involve any server or external service. No notification content is sent to or through our systems.

Widgets

The home screen widget displays moon phase, tarot, rune, and spell data. This information is written to a local shared container on your device (using Apple's App Group mechanism) and is read by the widget extension. No widget data leaves your device.

Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used this app in a way that has created a privacy concern, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice within the app. Continued use of the app after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Because we collect no personal data, changes to this policy will primarily reflect updates to Apple's frameworks or new optional features you can choose to enable or disable.
